The Grant Searching and Collaborative Administration Directorate is dedicated to supporting the acquisition, administration, and compliance of grant funding to advance the University of Gondar’s mission. We provide guidance on grant opportunities, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and facilitate efficient financial and programmatic oversight. We work to optimize the impact of grant-funded projects while upholding responsibility and integrity in resource management through cooperation and openness.

Scope/What We Do:

Grant Seeking

    • Conducting systematic searches for funding opportunities across diverse sectors.
    • Maintaining a centralized database of potential grants for departments and researchers.

Application Support:

    • Assisting in the preparation of high-quality grant applications.
    • Offering workshops, templates, and consultation to streamline the grant application process.

Partnership Development:

  • Establishing connections with funding bodies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), corporate entities, and governmental organizations.
  • Facilitating agreements such as Memo understanding (MOUs) and contracts with collaborators.

Compliance Management:

    • Ensuring all applications adhere to institutional, legal, and ethical standards.
    • Monitoring post-award compliance with grant terms and conditions.

Capacity Building:

    • Training faculty, staff, and students in grant writing, reporting, and financial management.
    • Providing technical expertise in project proposal development.

Monitoring and Impact Assessment:

    • Evaluating funded projects to measure outcomes and maintain accountability.
    • Documenting success stories to strengthen future applications and collaborations
